What is Covad Business Ethernet service?
Business Ethernet service is an affordable way to connect to the Internet at symmetric speeds. It is more cost effective than T1-based services and provides the symmetric upload and download speeds businesses need. Business Ethernet is also backed by strong service level agreements (SLAs) and runs over a dedicated circuit.
What broadband speeds does Business Ethernet offer?
Business Ethernet internet service provides speeds from 2Mbps up to 20Mbps of symmetric bandwidth. Not all speeds are available in all locations, so please call a Covad sales representative to see what speeds are available at your location.
Where is Business Ethernet service available?
Business Ethernet Internet service is available in over 60 metropolitan areas across the country. Call a Covad sales representative or click here to see if your location is in our service area.
How does Covad's Business Ethernet service work?
Covad technicians install each Business Ethernet service. The technician will install an Ethernet bridge at your location. The Ethernet bridge provides the Ethernet port and the IP addresses to which you will need to connect your LAN. The Ethernet bridge relays your traffic to Covad's network, from which it is then passed on to the nearest regional IP POP where it is quickly passed on to the Internet.
Who needs Business Ethernet service?
Many business owners and managers are recognizing the need to get more bandwidth while keeping their costs low. While many business require the premium SLA of a T1 service, others value Business Ethernet as an affordable alternative while still providing symmetric upload and download speeds.
