Covad Business Ethernet is offered through three services:
- Business Ethernet – EoCu: Scalable Internet access with symmetric speeds up to 20Mbps, currently available in the Los Angeles, CA metro area.
- Business Ethernet – SDSL: Affordable Internet access with symmetric speeds up to 3.0 Mbps, available nationwide.
- Business Ethernet Enterprise: Internet access delivered over T1 loops, providing reliable service without distance limits.

Service Level Agreements
At Covad, we stand behind our promise of uncompromising quality by providing service level agreements (SLAs) on our business-class services. Our SLAs mean that you can focus on your business, not your Internet connection.
- Fast installation time—If Covad does not install your order within 30 calendar days of placing your order for Business Ethernet Enterprise 1.0 and 2.5, Business Ethernet–SDSL (all speeds), and Business Ethernet–EoCu (all speeds), you are eligible for a credit equal to 50 percent of your first month's service fees. If Covad does not install your order within 45 calendar days of placing your order for Business Ethernet Enterprise 5.0, you are eligible for a credit equal to 50 percent of your first month's service fees.
- Service availability—We target monthly service availability of 99.99 percent. You will be eligible for a credit for every hour of downtime beyond our target. Please review the Covad Customer Policies for details.
- Time to repair—In the event of a service outage, we will restore your service within 12 hours for Business Ethernet–SDSL and Business Ethernet–EoCu services, and 8 hours for Business Ethernet Enterprise service. If we do not, you will be eligible for a credit equal to 10 percent of your monthly service fees.
- Network delivery—Each month, Covad targets to deliver successfully 99.9 percent of all data packets sent to or from your location for Business Ethernet–SDSL and Business Ethernet Enterprise services, and 99.5 percent of all data packets sent to or from your location for Business Ethernet–EoCu service. If we miss this target in a given calendar month, you will be eligible for a credit of up to 10 percent of your monthly service fee.
- Network delay—Covad targets to transmit all data between your location and the Internet with a monthly average of 80 milliseconds for the round trip for Business Ethernet–SDSL, Business Ethernet–EoCu, and Business Ethernet Enterprise services. You are eligible for a credit of up to 10 percent of your monthly service fees if we do not meet this monthly target.

Thirty Day Satisfaction Guarantee

Order Business Ethernet service and try it for 30 days. If not fully satisfied, cancel your service within the first thirty days. Covad will refund all installation and monthly service fees, and will cancel your service agreement without further obligation.
Covad will refund the equipment fees when you return the equipment to Covad in accordance with our RMA instructions. If you have received free or discounted equipment and you do not return the equipment within thirty days in accordance with Covad’s RMA instructions, you will be billed for the retail value of the equipment. Equipment
Covad provides the equipment needed for you to connect your network to our Internet service.
Business Ethernet–SDSL and Business Ethernet–EoCu include an Ethernet gateway. You must return the Ethernet gateway to Covad when you disconnect the service.
Business Ethernet Enterprise requires a Samsung Ubigate iBG 1000 router, which can be ordered with the service.
IP Addressing
Covad provides fixed public IP addresses with each Business Ethernet service.
